Contributor Path: L0 to O-Level & Beyond

The Ourown Ecosystem is not just a network of companies, it’s a developmental journey for every contributor, designed to help individuals grow from awareness to ownership. This progression is tracked and supported through a structured path known as the Contributor Maturity Ladder. It ensures that every individual, whether student, freelancer, team member, or partner, can evolve their role, responsibility, and rewards over time.

This journey is split into five major stages, with layered designations:

L0 – Entry Point & Awareness Level

At the L0 stage, individuals:

  • Are introduced to the ecosystem via awareness sessions, orientation documents, or onboarding videos.
  • Can access guided training resources and whitepapers.
  • Get access to community platforms and opportunity boards.
  • May volunteer or observe before active participation.

Purpose: Build initial understanding of the ecosystem, roles, and models. Ideal For: Students, interns, early-career professionals.

L9–L1 – Contribution & Specialization Levels

This stage enables contributors to:

  • Actively join a troup or pod and take up a defined task or responsibility.
  • Engage in live projects, documentation, outreach, research, or service delivery.
  • Specialize in one or more domains (e.g., cybersecurity, consulting, SaaS dev).
  • Receive mentorship, performance reviews, and skill feedback.
  • Receive mentorship, performance reviews, and skill feedback.
  • Participate in role-based revenue models.
  • Each sub-level (L9 to L1) represents depth, consistency, and contribution scale.

Purpose: Enable real skill development through live participation. Ideal For: Active professionals, students, re-entering contributors, freelancers.

Beyond O-Level – Long-Term Role Transition

Even after reaching O-Level, the journey continues. Pathways include:

  • AVP / AD / C-Level – Nominated roles like Associate Director, Consulting Director, etc.
  • PB Promoter – Become a key promoter of a troup-turned-body.
  • AOB Leader – Handle an entire AOB with institutional or industrial partnership.
  • Investor/Incubator Role – Sponsor future bodies or help new entrants.

  • Strategic Planner – Contribute to TBBIM model evolution or ecosystem governance.

Key Features of the Contributor Path

  • Transparent Evaluation: Progression is tracked through project logs, reviews, and team feedback.
  • Cross-role Mobility: A contributor can shift from research to development to outreach as per interest.
  • Role-Based Growth: You grow not just by time, but by demonstrated role ownership.
  • Shared Ownership: From L1 onward, contributors can claim stakes in pods, IPs, or service systems.
